This drive will take you through several hairpin bends, and the beauty of the Kullu Valley all along the ride. After quite a brief lunch stopover in Jobra, we will start our trek to Chika, which is a 2 hour long easy trek and includes a couple of small river crossings. Holding a hiking pole close by is suggested to reduce effort. The hike ascends steadily through the shade of pine trees, green meadows, and a refreshing air, providing a magnificent view of Manali from the mountain ditch. Once you reach Chika, you will be spellbound by a spectacular view of lush greenery and snow-capped high mountains. Take a moment to admire the surroundings while entering a beautiful field that is covered with little rocks all around. Spend the night in camps and refuel with delectable meals for the next day of exploration.

The proximity of the Tokru-Shakru peaks, and the gorgeous coloration of the rocks and hillside add on to its beauty. The lush, emerald Kullu Valley is located on one side of the pass, and the starkly different desert valley of Lahaul is on the other. We'll hike back using the same route after some time. Arrive at the campsite, enjoy a nice dinner. Spend the night at the campsite.
